Dear friends,

This season has been a great success with new and exciting shows. The month of February when love is in the air, make a date night and come sit back, relax, and let us entertain you at the theatre. We have the collaborative concert of Brigadoon March 18–19 and a special event that we are so excited about that we have to tell you now so you can mark your calendars. The American College of Dublin with 30 students will be performing A Grand Night for Singing May 3.

An Evening with Vivian Reed: Standards and More

Feb. 8

Two-time Tony nominee (Bubbling Brown Sugar and High Rollers) Reed presents a new show of her favorites. Reed dedicates her show to the classics, but detours into less musical territory—all delivered with her trademark energy.

Love and Other Unnatural Acts

Feb. 13

Please join us Monday, Feb. 6 with a new play by Don Webster. This play is about a couple (Jan and Ed Hubble) in the early stages of their marriage when Ed has just had his head turned by another women. Five vignettes follow the couple through various stages of intimacy, all while growing old together.

The New Shanghai Circus

Feb. 18–19

The season has been a great success so far with new and exciting shows. Our next show The New Shanghai Circus will be performing Feb. 18/19. Please join us in a night of acrobats that stretch the limits.

Mar. 18 - 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
Mar. 19 - 4 p.m.

The Lynn community would like to give a special thank you to Mrs. Elaine Johnson Wold, generous exclusive sponsor of Brigadoon, the theatrical highlight of the Wold Performing Arts Center season. This collaborative concert of the Lynn Philharmonia Orchestra and the Live at Lynn Series, showcase musical of the season brings this old-fashioned time-travel romance to life through song, dance and fanciful Highlands regalia.

A Grand Night for Singing

May 3 – 7:30 p.m.

All the way from Dublin, Ireland with 30 students from The American College of Dublin will be here to perform a full production of A Grand Night for Singing. A musical with songs from Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein.

Many of you have asked about the photos we take at the shows, so make sure you take a minute to enjoy them by clicking the links on this page – we’ve just updated them.

It’s certainly our busiest time of year – and I look forward to seeing you again at the theatre soon.

Theatrically yours,

Jan McArt

Theatre Arts Guild Members

Thank you again

We couldn't do it without you—and every year our Guild membership continues to grow!

We're so grateful for your friendship and financial support, which is why we offer our members the opportunity to purchase tickets one month before the general public, giving you access to the best seats available. It's the best way we can thank you for supporting everything we do…besides we love to look into the audience and see the familiar faces of good friends!

I've always said that we rely on the kindness of strangers to spread the word about our program, so you, our loyal supporters and my dearest friends, are the best advertising we have. Please continue to invite your neighbors and friends to join the Theatre Arts Guild and attend all the shows.
