Marilyn Swillinger’s Community Service Honored
with Lavish Event at Neiman Marcus

Marilyn Swillinger was recently honored for her outstanding community service by Neiman Marcus during an extravagant luncheon and fashion show. The event, held in the exclusive couture department, recognized her innumerable contributions to local charities and arts endeavors.  The luncheon focused on Marilyn’s current role as President of the Friends of the Conservatory of Music at Lynn University. The afternoon also featured performances by members the conservatory’s chamber orchestra.

“I was thrilled to see so many of our friends and other community advocates at this wonderful event,” said Marilyn. “I was honored by this recognition, and am very proud to be associated with the tremendous talent at Lynn University.”

Marilyn’s husband, Mark, who was joyfully by her side for the event, is instrumental in many of the same charitable endeavors, and serves as an advisory board member for Lynn University’s College of Business and Management.

Patti Soltis, General Manager of Neiman Marcus, offered to host the event because of her partnership with the Swillingers on many charitable affairs.

“Through their leadership, Marilyn and her husband Mark have advanced the fundraising and awareness of so many charitable institutions,” said Soltis.  “Their dedication to community service is unparalleled, and we, at Neiman Marcus, are grateful for their including us in their endeavors to support organizations that nurture the arts and help advance health care.”

The Swillingers also recently chaired the 32nd Annul Boca Raton Heart & Stroke Ball, which raised almost $500,000 and honored the outstanding Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing at FAU. Other organizations that have benefitted from their time and generosity include The Greater Boca Raton Chapter of The Pap Corps and now Arts Garage in Delray Beach.
