Pianist Calderon Wins MTNA-Florida Competition

Conservatory pianist Matthew Calderon (BM, sophomore) won the MTNA-Florida Senior Piano Competition on Oct. 25, held in Fort Meyers. He will represent the state of Florida in the Southern Division stage of the MTNA competitive events in January. His colleague, pianist Chen Liang (BM, senior), earned an honorable mention in the Young Artist division. Both students are members of the piano studio of Roberta Rust at LYNN.
